About Us
FCTC Alliance Philippines (FCAP)
A member of the international group Framework Convention Alliance on Tobacco Control (FCA), FCAP is a non-stock, non-profit, non-governmental organization advocating for a tobacco-free society. It is the only organization in the Philippines that effectively addresses tobacco issues in a holistic manner by mobilizing its coalition of organizations. Its network reaches religious and media organizations as well as prestigious associations of health professionals.
Policy advocacy at the core of its functions, FCAP represents the civil society and committed to support the effective implementation of the FCTC. FCAP includes individual members and organizations that are working to prevent Filipino children from starting a lifelong addiction, to protect non-smokers from exposure to second hand smoke, and to help those who want to quit.
FCAP is the NGO member of the Inter-Agency Committee on Tobacco (IAC-T) created to administer the Comprehensive Tobacco Regulation Act or RA 9211. The World HealthOrganization (WHO) and the Department of Health (DOH) are among FCAP’s partners.

Consistent with the Philippines’ commitment with the FCTC, FCAP as a prime mover seeks to improve the lives of people through advocacy in public policy and governance on tobacco control.
